Does anyone actually know what this show is about?  If so could you explain it to me.  I caught an episode last week and would like to find out more.

It's an ensemble comedy set in a hospital. I would have thought that would have become clear in the hour you spent watching it.

It's not really 'about' anything, so I don't really know what you mean. She fancies him, he fancies her, but she is in love with him....you're basic rom com stuff except abso-bloody-lutely hilarious. Oh, and set in a hospital with doctors you wouldn't want operating on you in real life...

Take it all with a pinch of salt. Last episode of the series tonight though, so you've come in rather late!

It is based on the every so much more funny SCRUBS from sky.
ICEMAN, Scrubs is American humour, Green Wing is British all the way. So they are too different in my opinion, although yes, Scrubs is brilliant and doesn't get enough credit.
Its hilarious if you find public school boys talking about their willies and female doctors shagging beds (oo-er) funny. Greenwing is like watching a bad impro group acting their socks off with nooone around to tell them that they aren't very funny. In other words, it sucks...
In no episode of Green Wing has a doctor shagged a bed.
yes she did, she rubbed herself against one of the vibrating beds...and I think it's bleeding hilarious, by the way.

As georgit79 says, Green Wing is British, Scrubs is American. Very, very different styles of humour, but both very, very funny.

I suppose one main difference is that Channel 4 can get away with showing Scrubs at 7.30 in the morning - I doubt they'd try that with Green Wing :O)

Scrubs - soppy moral endings + believable characters + sex + utter believability = Green Wing

Really though, can't you just see the plots from Green Wing in real life? Especially the sea monkeys and probably even the bit with Guy finding out he's {spoilers} going mad, botoxing Martin's legs, hijacking a {spoiler} being followed by {gorgeous curly-headed spoiler}.

It's without doubt the funniest thing that's been on tv fir a long time. from the writers of smack the pony i believe. it's been re-commisioned so there will be another series. let's hope it's not as disappointing as the 2nd little britain series has been so far.

I agree and disagree with the comment

Green Wing is tounge-in-cheak humor, however for me thats what I love about it (That and Mac) I never rearly got along with Scrubs, that was too moral for me, Green Wing shows wit, not just humor, Green Wing should not be compared to Scrubs, its more in the leauge of Black books (sorry I know its a bad comparison but its the closest one I know of) Green Wing also makes me feel mixed emotions too, for example in the last episone jelousy when Mac kissed Caroline, but also a feeling of "yes all is right with the world"

I can not wait for the DVD to come out!!!! I will definatly buy it.

Anyway thats my veiw

(p.s fave moment, um tries to pick one, probably the fuzzy felt cardigan one, or the squash one, poor Mac having to play with a table tennis bat!!)
