I saw this at the weekend and just have to recommend it. It is though, hardly the "feelgood movie of the year" as I saw it described in one newspaper. Without giving anything away - the ending was certainly feelgood (I moistened considerably) but the majority of the film was a pretty horrendous and sad state of affairs - I'm sure the Indian Tourist Board won't feel the film has done them any favours - Anyhow - go and see it; it's worth it.

Thanks for the tip :o)

I doubt I'd go to the cinema to see it though, I don't cry in public where I can possibly help it. Any hint that a movie will be sad, I won't go to the cinema LOL xxx

They were nice tears - a lovely ending! I didn't snivel or sob or anything (I only do that when I'm watching alone) - just sat there with a wet one sliding down both cheeks ;-)
Oh well I could cope with that :o)

No way would I have been able to watch the following in the cinema:

- Homeward Bound
- Anna and the King
- Paulie
- Green Mile
- Who Will Love My Children

To name a few.....
Read the book, it is superb.
