As far as I know, your parent's TV license only covers the TVs in their property. And yes, you need a TV license for a PC TV card though how they are going to detect it, I don't know.
No, it's not true. check this link for a longer answer http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Internet-and-Technology/Quest ion65796.html
yes it is !! your links says :- 'Strictly speaking the answer is yes. If you use or just install anything that can receive or record television programme services (which includes video recorders, set-top boxes or PCs with broadcast cards) you have to have a TV licence. Don't panic though! If you don't actually use your PC to receive TV progs the only way they would know your PC was capable of this would be if a TV detector person knocked on your door and asks you (and you then tell them the truth). ' youve just contradicted yourself ! so yes you do need one - if you watch a bbc channel thru whatever means you have to have a license
So is it possible to 'NOT receive' a BBC channel. After all there is never anything worth watching on those channels anyway. Well maybe Wimbledon. Maybe you can pay in June and not the rest of the year if you promise not to watch the BBC.?? Thoughts anyone ?
