When i go back to the states soon for Christmas, and possibly forever. I will have to endure the non event that the Americans make of it.
No Boxing day, straight back to work, no lazing about bloated watching the Great Escape or the Queens Speech!
I imagine they all send Bah Humbug cards to each other?
How will i survive that, i will make it my life long Quest to convert the savages to civilised behaviour.
Tell me what would you miss about christmas if it was cancelled?

You know Dot, it has always filled me with dread in the past cos i like to work, but now i am getting concerned about missing it.
I finish work at 1pm Christmas Eve and start back at 12pm Boxing Day, so I know how you feel i guess.

I'd miss having an excuse to be able to have a drink at 10am ("It's ok it's Christmas!!")

Also lazing about for a few days, pigging out on food that we don't usually have, the presents, decorations collecting dust, twinkling lights in the corner of the room, think thats about it.....

Apparently, we consume about 6000 calories on Christmas day. The Americans do that every day, so no fun there for them!
