last night i run a red light at a round about, the lights just ahead of me turned green but the ones smack in front of me didnt n without checking i pulled off, ther wer no other cars on the round about. ive only been past 8 months. if the camera picked me up what penalty would i be facing?

You were observant to note the 'ones in front of me didn't'! If you didn't see the flash on a camera you could be lucky, else its points & fine.

But, hey, you live to run more lights/pay more fines etc.....all part of motoring they don't tell you about when you pass your test.
