I have an old hgv clas 3 licence not renewed since 1983. is it possible for me to renew this licence? how would I go about it?

Hi,

I also have an HGV 1 from around that time, I am sure you will need a complete new driving test and medical, I think they lapsed after a gap of 3 years.

Is class 3 the current C1?

If so you will still have that on your licence. Have you got a photocard licence, which shows the latest classes?

Sorry. Silly question if you haven't renewed since 83.

I think HGV3 is seven and a half ton, which is now C1.

Everyone of your age gets that by default without an HGV medical, though youngsters now don't get it automatically.
