Does anyone remember this BBC programme, advertised as a real, live broadcast at the time. Can anyone remember hearing reports of deaths (suicides) occuring as a result of this programme?

I remember the show. It was an april fools joke when i was about 11 or 12! bloody good one too! Good ol' sarah greene and mike smith! never heard of any after effects though.
I remember watching it, and it was obviously a fictional drama. A lot of silly people complained about it afterwards thinking it was real, although I don't remember it being on 1st April.
P.S. I don't remember anything about suicides though.
It was broadcast on Halloween 1992, and was actually advertised as a drama (something which still apparently annoys the writer today as he didn't want it to be immediately obvious). But a lot of people who hadn't seen the pre-publicity didn't realise it was fiction - much like Orson Welles' famous "War Of The Worlds" radio broadcast many years earlier. You can get Ghostwatch on DVD now and pause it o get a good look at the bits where the ghost "Pipes" appeared - unmentioned - in the background.
I remember this, however I hardly think they would release this on dvd if it caused people to kill themselves.
I remember watching this at a friend's house when I was pretty young, and when I went home I told my parents all about how ghosts must be real because I'd seen them on television. They humoured me and said gosh and wow but of course now I realise they must have been taking the mickey, dammit.
I recall it quite
