Next time you're watching the news, look at the presenters broadcasting from outside broadcasts. They are all wearing their scarves in the same style. The scarf is folded in two lengthwise, draped round the neck and then the two loose ends are put throught the loop formed by the fold. Who started this? When did this trend start? Does this style have a name? Look at people in the street too. They're all doing it. It seems to have gained momentum in the past few months. Am I missing out on something?

Hey thewillow, you must have missed it. It was everywhere, if you don't wear your scarf in the "Newsreader" style then your so last year.

I think I'm probably like so last century.
Don't listen to BadBob - yes this style is now the norm and ergo not stylish!
its for the lassies though. no man should attempt to wear a scarf in this manner - it just wouldn't look right.
My man wears his scarf like that but it is a manly looking brown tatty thing that no woman would be caught wearing, so he gets away with it!
Bobbobley - I think if the man has STYLE then he can get away with it - but unfortunatly many men dont!
Scarves? Newsreader Style??? Are you all just a bunch of softies? What's wrong with a nice tee-shirt and no coat?
My daughter lived in Belgium for a year during 2000/2001.She showed me how they (the continentals) wore their scarves. It felt all wrong to me then and 3 years later it still feels wrong. So it definitely is sooo last year.
I wear mine like the newsreaders because it stays on my neck and I don't have to keep tossing it back, or picking it up, long may it reign as a fashion.
