Has anyone watched Charade, with Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn, recently? I watched it on DVD last night. In the scene where Cary Grant jumps between the balconys outside the hotel after George Kennedy the male guest in the room in the middle sounded to me like Graham Crowden.Does anyone know if it was him? There were no credits on my DVD for some reason, and he isn't listed as being in on IMDb.Alternatively does anyone know any other sources where I could fiind out?

Well first I have to say you have good taste watching Charade. The interplay between Grant and Hepburn is wonderful. I also have it on DVD.

I must admit I had no idea who Graham Crowden was, but looking him up in Google I now recognise him.

If you look in IMDB at what Graham was doing in 1962 and 63 (when Charade was made) it was nearly all UK TV work, so I think it unlikely that he would have been chosen at the time for an international film like Charade.

It was also set in France and most of the bit-part players seem to be French (according to IMDB).

Without being able to prove it I wold say it proably is NOT Graham Crowden.

I have it on DVD so will check.
Not sure if you noticed, if you look under Trivia for the film in IMDB.

It says the film is in the public domain as they failed to put a copywright notice on the film print.

Probably why you see so many copies of the DVD on sale everywhere (it is also shown on many TV stations as well as I suppose it does not cost them anything)
Hi there,

Herman Scobie played George Kennedy.
Type Charade +cast into your search engine. All the info is there.

Thanks for the input, vehelpfulguy.Mty thinking was that although filmed on location some scenes, like the one I mentioned, would be filmed in a studio and it is more than possible that it would be Pinewood or Elstree. The guests in the middle room are definitely English, upper class and the voices could have been added in post production. And it really does sound like Graham Crowden.
Thanks aldso to davidhm, but that wasn'tthe question I was asking.
