This is gonna ruin my reputation but Sex Lives of the Potato Men was the funniest movie I'd seen in years. I was crying with laughter for most of it.

But best comedy must be a toss up between Blazing Saddles and Airplane.

Story_teller, I tried to explain that very scene to a colleague who hadn't seen the film. I failed. But that scene as well as any scene with Steve Martin as Ruprecht the Monke Boy make it the funniest film. Dare I say funnier than Airplane?

Rupret the monkey boy is class! When he has to have a cork on the end of his folk so he doesn't poke himself in the eye!

Best bit in My Cousin Vinny is when him and his wife/girlfriend are sleeping in that shack in the woods and the owl is keeping him awake so he goes outside and fires his cannon of a gun to scare it off, as soon as he goes back inside "hoot, hoot"! genius

Dumb and Dumber is a classic to, when he sells peteie to the blind kid "pretty bird, pretty bird"

Monty Python and the holy grail is good too.
