No.... I'm still waiting for the bar steward to fix it for me to make something with The A Team... y'know, a rocket firing truck out of mouldy bed matresses and a piece of string or something.
No I never did....I always planned to but I'm a bit lazy like that
All I wanted was a date with Rick Astley.

It wasn't much to ask for a 7 year old!!!!!!!!!!
I wrote asking to drive a 'yellow digger' - didn't want much back then!

Never heard off him... lowlife.
my daughter who's almost 28 wrote to him aged 7 she was into magic and paul daniels at that time, she asked jim to fix it for her to do a magic show with paul daniels and to learn how to pull a rabbit out of a hat, he never answered.

Seems like he didn't answer very many, I'm still waiting to meet the Care Bears!!
My mum wrote in for me when I was 8 years old. She had it in her head that I would love to meet James Gallway just because I played the flute!!

I must be the only person who didn't want him to 'fix it' for me. :o/
Lore - did Jim fix it for you? I'm sure I remember James Galway on Jim'll Fix It!
NOOOOooOOooooooo the poor child, I can't believe someone else had the same idea as my mum! :o(
yes. At the age of 8, my best friend and i sat and thought for a while then came up with.. "Dear Jim, please could you fix it for us to swim in a giant yoghurt."

Wonder why he never replied?
To be honest I have never liked or trusted the guy. Way too slimy for me! I'm not at all surprised that so many wrote and never heard back. He was and far too concerned with his own importance! YUK I say!!! There are many celebs who personally do a lot of good for various charities, donating their time, energy and money. But some don't actually do much work, just show their faces and use the charities as promotional tools. It is their background teams that do the actual work. According to some people who know him and have worked with him in the past, he is arrogant, self-opinionated and a total self-promotion freak, demanding and not at all as caring as people think. Sad really! But at least allowing him to be as he is has brought attention to some the charities he has been to and in an indirect way raised funds to some degree. So, sorry but I am soo not a fan of his.
