I would point out that the size 16 jeans are for me not for the young lady who will get the cardi!! She hasn't got a size 10 top and a size 16 bottom!!!

got blood test results from the doc and apparently I am normal. Not only do I not need to go back on statins, my platelets are going up (probably the first time in my life, they are usually on the low side and in slow decline).

Something fishy here. Couldn't I baffle medical science just a tiny little bit?

Had a very pleasant lunch with my old friend. Lots of raucous laughter. We were both driving (him to airport to fly home) so we were very abstemious and I am now making up for it with a glass of champagne for no particular reason.

Well I have to say Pink Lady apples are a disappointment to me. A few times I've been told they're the best, sweetest eating apple...they're certainly not the cheapest. :o( I beg to differ, odd texture, I think the remainder will be sitting on pastry & smothered in custard before I bother eating them. I'll stick to Gala.

I have just had cheese and grapes!!

I don't like apples much at all, which is a great shame seeing as I was disappearing under a pile of them only a month or so ago. I quite like raw Bramleys though, dipped in sugar!!
