I've seen it, I thought it was ok. Quite silly and gory. The scariest bit of all is near the start when they are caving. If you like films like Dog Soldiers etc then it might be your thing. Have you seen it?

I won't spoil it for you...but The Descent contains one of the biggest 'jumps' I've seen in any film this decade.

Other than that, I thought it was pretty effective as a thriller/horror film. It's very gory, and it helps if you suffer from claustrophobia (my partner does and said that the potholing scenes were worse than the 'truly' scary scenes).

By the way, if you understand the ending, let me know, because I still don't have a clue.
Thought the ending was good, made a change.
I've seen the film but cant remember the end.what happened?

But it is the one with the group of girls that go down the cave right?
I suffer only a tiny bit o claustrophobia and the scenes where one of them gets stuck a little scared me more than anything else. Rather enjoyed the film 8/10
sp1814 ... was the 'biggest jump' anything to do with a pipe?
Like I said before...I really don't want to spoil it for stylinsam, so I won't say a word.

Suffice to say, when it happen, I was halfway through balancing a bucket of popcorn on my knee, whilst picking up my cup of Coke with my other hand.

Because of the jump scene, I involuntarily squeezed my Coke cup, causing the contents to squirt up through the straw and dropped my popcorn.

Excellent.
loved it :-)

scary and messed up!
Made in the UK - and the underground scenes were all shot in a studio. Quite a feat of set-building!

Great film. What do ABers make of the end?
The end was a bit 'Italian Job' ... i.e. it didn't really end, thus leaving the plot wide-open for a whole bunch of sequels that'll never be made.
