I need to find various other things to try and illustrate that some odds I've been quoted mean a particular thing is unlikely to occur.

The odds I need examples for are:

1 in 250
1 in 900
1 in 100

E.G. Odds of being killed by a shark are 1 in 250 (they're not; they're waaaaay longer than that) etc.

Thanks!

1 in 100 - England to beat Portugal 5-1 (ladbrokes have it at 100/1

1 in 250: roughly the odds of a tossed oin landing heads the first eight times you toss it (it's actually 1 in 256)

1 in 900: the odds of three people who share the same star sign sharing the same birthday
1 in 100: Odds of getting a satisfactory answer to a question?
1 in 250 : The chances of a dropped slice of toast landing butter-side-up.
