Fabulous feature, press pause and the names of everyone on screen pops up.

Saves me a lot of thinking time trying to remember an actor's name. I drive my wife mad.

It would be perfect if it also named the song/music playing and the location of outside shots.

Maybe the name of Michael Portillo's tailor and the exact colour name of his jacket, too.

Am I alone needing to know these things when I watch TV?

I didn't know that. I don't often watch films but when I do I'm always looking for actors names and "Where have we seen him.her before?"

I have to pause the credits at the end if I don't know by then who whatsisname from thingybob is

IMDB on the first screen on my kindle... Very good for those sure I have seen them before moments

It won't be long before you will be able to get a chip implanted in your skull for all this information to be available straight to your brain.

Rowan, I use Imdb a lot, it is a balm to my itching neediness to know this stuff

Amazon own IMDB thats why it's easy to access the info on their channel. Other companies don't have access to a ready made library.

The TV channels know the cast of every programme they broadcast, though - Amazon doesn't have proprietary rights over that information.

Imdb for me too.

Barry that's right, that's why I said a ready made library. Other channels do t have access to that and to research and collate it for every show and film would incur costs.

I agree it would be amazing if they could! I often give it a try forgetting I'm not watching on Prime...

.

I use X-Ray a lot in Amazon Prime - it's a great feature.

I'm always using it to find what I've seen the actor/actress in before.
