Hi there,  the sun is shining, but it's very chilly in the 'put on your vest' midlands.   Had to get up as a certain small orange birdie decided it was time to practice this season's song and when he starts sleep becomes a dream rather than an option.

Morning, Rowan. Chilly down here in Somerset too. Husband has asked me to put the heating on. Grrr! Are we made of money? Put another jumper on.

I think extra jumpers, socks and fleece leggings for me Cloverjo,  but on the plus side my joints are less painful when it's cold.

Time to get the stewpot and slow cooker out methinks

Good morning Rowan and Clover. It's bright and sunny oop here in West Yorkshire, as for temperature its the first time since spring the central heating switched itself on.

Have a lovely day folks.

Time I put those two into deep storage Rowan.

It's warming up downunder.

Morning Arky,   I have storage heaters so I try not to use them unless the forecast is dire for a few days.  Good thing is my electricity supplier has reduced my monthly payments again now paying what I paid two years ago.

I'm a good boy me, mi ol love spud. Best behaviour Honest😏

Mutterings on the weather sites of a very bad summer down here, heat and drought with a strong possibility of bush fire.

I have cleaning to do as I didn't feel up to it last week, not brilliantly any today but  it looks like have been keeping unicorns in the flat, dismantling a glittery Christmas decoration yesterday ( I needed a wire cube for a sewing project) means there is glitter everywhere....

Quite a pleasant sunday morning up here in Aberdeen,Rowan.(Why do i always think about the original Wickerman film, when i say the word Rowan?).However ,have a nice day everyone.

Question Author

It's strange, most of the Rowans my age are male, but it's becoming popular for girls now. I have met a few young ones locally.  I remember watching the Wicker Man on a break during a night shift.   At least it kept me awake.

I am thinking of having a nature themed Christmas this year Rowan with natural decorations. Of course it will come to decoration and will not be bothered and just chuck anything out!

Question Author

I have a set of Scandi themed decorations in red green and white but I think I fancy a change this year,  Mexican with chillies and poinsettias  might be fun, or maybe a colour palette of really clashing jewel tones.   I used a different theme every year when I was younger  cost a blooming fortune gave away about twenty sets when I got divorced.  Only ones I regret not keeping were the glass bubbles and icicles  with the iridescent finish that came from John Lewis in the 1980s,

Good morning from Norfolk. It is a lovely sunny but cool day here, i had a Covid booster this morning and a flu jab last week, ready for winter.

Always associate Rowan with the tree which, in folklore, protected against witchcraft!
