Flicking through a clothes catalogue this morning, I got the idea for a "fun" post on CB.
Ladies: What type of clothing do you like to see a guy dressed in .... casual or dress? In real life or fantasy (careful now you're on AB).

Guys: You can join in if you want .....what would you wear to impress a female on a blind date?

For me ... he would be wearing black trews, blouson and white T-shirt for casual.
For dress - he would be wearing a light grey suit ..with a waistcoat.

As ND said "forever in blue jeans"
jeans ( no holes) t shirt and jacket
Jeans are out! Definitely! I'd just try to look as smart as I could, depending on the time of year and depending on approval from Mrs Clarion.
Not quite what you're asking Haz, but this how I would like to see myself. Effortless early 60s chic from Jean Paul Belmondo.

Especially if Jean Seberg is available. Dream on eh?
Real... Smart casual, I suspect no man my age should wear jeans except maybe black ones, shirt, maybe a tweed jacket...
Fantasy.... Definitely a kilt! And all the trimmings
I wore this when wooing gness ... seemed to work

Dave... I don't know which is harder to take in. That outfit, or just how one goes about "wooing" Gness

;o)
Oh God. !!!!
MrBuilder. Guinness and additions to my DIY toolkit and I'm wooed.
A new ratchet spanner would be bliss. :-)
It depends on the occasion but I like a man in a suit and tie with white shirt, especially 30s/40s style suits with loose fitting trousers - and yes a hat at times but jeans are nice with a decent t-shirt. Easier to say what I find a turn-off and that is the current fashion for men of any shape to wear really skin tight trousers, usually hugging chunky bots and thighs and tapering down to match stick lower legs. Often worn with big pointy shoes. So unsexy (to me).
I do love a man in a waistcoat and cravat. :-)
Ahhh...not just the waistcoat and cravat...other items of clothing too.
gness just a waistcoat and cravat lol x
Phew. Just beat Mally to it! :-)
LOL......

Never wore a suit until I was in my first year at med.school.
Before that, for formal occasions my school blazer with prefect badge and colour badges for cricket, rugby, athletics ,hockey and swimming.
Informal occasions, Harris tweed hacking jacket and cavalry twill trousers, school tie and Old Spice after shave.

No problem with pulling the birds and yes, I was and still am a "show off"

At med school, it didn't matter as i had to fight them off.
Wear those with a nod to the JP Belmondo pic and you'd be yummy the builder :-) I like a man with style - as long as it's manly style :-)
Thank you Prudie.
Made my day ;o)))
