Their plane plummeted soon after takeoff, and several people vomited.

No reports about the other end :-)

Fortunately the pilots recovered before it hit the ground.

Going down is always a terrifying moment.
That happened to me once on a BA flight London to New York, some years ago. All was smooth, we got to about Cornwall and suddenly the plane seemed to drop through the air, then the engines roared and lots of people were screaming. I spent the rest of the flight in a state of high anxiety not helped by no explanation or calming words from crew or captain. Clear air turbulence apparently.
You would have thought that the Cptn would have said something to the passengers , afterwards
"Plummeted" Love it LOL
You must have experienced it 237, did it never scare you?
Not really because I knew what caused it.
That's actually encouraging, hoped you'd say that.
Poor little Prudie. That must have been a terrifying experience.

I think that most normal people would be freaked out by something like this.
I used to type 'near miss' reports for the airline I worked for. I never realised how many there were. I didn't like flying much anyway, but it didn't help!
