By the first Tory MP to publicly do so.

/'The game is up': First Tory publicly says PM should go
Crispin Blunt, the Conservative MP for Reigate, has become the first to publicly state Prime Minister Liz Truss should step aside, saying: "The game is up".
He told Channel 4's Andrew Neil Show that he does not think Ms Truss, who has been in Number 10 for little over a month, can survive the current crisis.
"I think the game is up and it's now a question as to how the succession is managed," he said.
Asked how the party will get rid of her, he said: "If there is such a weight of opinion in the parliamentary party that we have to have a change, then it will be effected.
"Exactly how it is done and exactly under what mechanism... but it will happen."/

Oh dear. How sad. Never mind.

The former Chancellor(who ironically implemented the OBR when he was in office) reckons she’ll be done before Xmas

Truss unlikely to be PM at Christmas, says Osborne
Former Tory chancellor George Osborne today said Liz Truss is unlikely to still be in Number 10 Downing Street at Christmas.
The first Conservative MP publicly called for Ms Truss to go on Sunday, with Crispin Blunt saying: "The game is up."
Now, Mr Osborne told Channel 4's Andrew Neil Show that Ms Truss is a "PINO - prime minister in name only."
He said the prime minister is "hiding in Number 10" as pressure hikes following a disastrous mini-budget at the end of September.
Mr Osborne said it is "possible to imagine a situation where [Ms Truss] completely resets", and reshuffles her cabinet to bring in Rishi Sunak allies./

So who’s next in line to be the(unelected by the electorate) carrier of the poisoned PM chalice with no mandate from the public?
Does anyone even care point?
I realise that any new leader chosen by any party is something of an unknown quantity, but even so, looking at her track record, and her advised personality based on previous experience, what on earth made any voting member of the Conservative Party imagine that Ms Truss was a fit and proper person to be put in charge of anything?

I can only assume, as I have advised previously, that, given the two choices that were offered, the membership opted for the only person who was not Rishi Sunak, and now have time to rue their haste.

That's what amazed me Andy, it just didn't make sense.
well, you have to consider the available alternatives - then choose the one who looked most like Thatcher in a dim light.
No doubt TORATORATORA can explain why he voted for her.
"then choose the one who looked most like Thatcher in a dim light."

Not the one who looked and sounded most like a dim Thatcher?

To compare her with Lady Thatcher is incredibly insulting to the latter.

The Iron Lady had more charisma in her little finger than A-Liz-In-Blunderland has in her whole body.
Would JRM consider job ?
oh, I've never shrunk from insulting Thatcher!
I agree Andy as I have said several times on here. I am totally amazed that anyone would vote for her. There were two very viable candidates in Penny Mordaunt and and Kemi Badenoch.

The country would certainly stay warm in the winter from all the rioting.

This is what JRM wants for you, Weecalf.
But I guess when you’ve never even changed a nappy, inherited your wealth and are subsequently worth £150 million you’d have an odd view of the world from your bubble?

jno - // well, you have to consider the available alternatives - then choose the one who looked most like Thatcher in a dim light. //

I'm going to put that in my 'I Wish I'd Written That!' file right now!!

When the Daily Mail has a negative headline about a Tory PM you know it’s over.

Sunak dealt the fatal blow to Boris and I believe that’s why he lost the leadership race. How do you ever trust a traitor?

The very fact that people were - and still are - bandying names around indicates that there was no obvious successor. Leaders of political parties need to possess the qualities of leadership, something that none of the contestants could justifiably claim.
So your beloved country is *** Naomi?
No surprise to me, 1ozzy. I forecast what would happen if the idjits carried on as they were carrying on - and here we are.
