nothing goes right, well i am having one of those days. So far i have made 8 calls to a variety of places, not least to Occupational Therapy at the Hospital and at the local council. All in aid of getting the right equipment at home after my Operation, I have been passed from one agency to the next. OT at the council can't do a recce until after the operation.

I have also had my Pest Control visit cancelled at the last minute, they cited an emergency call out.

what irks, frustrates you right now.

A sad sign of the times - I call it the Getting-Something-Sorted-Syndrome - a task which these days is usually highly frustrating, and I encounter it only too frequently.

i have phoned OT at the hospital, OT at the council - GP several times, no slots to speak with anyone till tomorrow. Age UK, Pest Control, repairs people, all to no avail. I am annoyed and upset at this lack of care, and in all honesty feel like it's not going to be resolved, either of the problems.
What is frustrating me right now is that Mr BM is recovering from his surgery and is doing very well indeed (that is not frustrating, that is pleasing). He is doing so well that he is able to pop into my work room every half an hour or so with a "Have you done x?" question. He is not at work so he is finding work for me to do.

My last answer was "no, I effing haven't. Yet. Because I have too many other things to do."

i wish at time i had someone to take the responsibility off my shoulders and help me generally.

Barmaid - he will get much better then he will be back at work....
one hopes.
Work for the Civil Service and thats a daily occurrence!

Still hope the day gets better for you emmie
I seem to be having frustrating days every day lately. I wish we could go back in time when we could speak to humans on the phone and not a computer that says you can find out all your answers on our website www.frustratingandunhelpful.co.uk
Every day is a frustration. I have convinced myself that the spirits must be testing me until they get whatever reaction they're looking for. (Passive acceptance I suspect.)

Ymb, no ta,
i am waiting for repairs to ring me, and Camden council OT, though i can't see either happening, so means more phone calls from me.
Question Author
Miss T, if it wasn't so important i wouldn't make these calls - but as i am having surgery in November, i do need to at least find out what kit i need at home, and no one has yet been able to tell me or at least advise.
That day cannot come too soon, Emmie!

I swear he is playing a game of "See how long it takes for the wife to really lose her rag".
Question Author
i wish i had a shoulder to lean on, or at least someone to moan at.
I feel for you Emmie, have been in the same boat on many occasions, last time my doctor stepped in and got me sorted. There I was protsrate on the sofa unable to even sit up or go the loo!

very good Miss T
Question Author
i have to phone the surgery at 08.50 tomorrow to get a slot to call me, if i don't then the next slot is not till the end of the month.
Glad Mr BM is doing so well Barmaid. What with him and three kittens, I'm amazed you get any work done!
where - - - peoople dont listen to you?
Yes every day - but after about 70 y, it doesnt seem to matter as much
Emmie I understand your frustration but until you have had the op and are up working it is difficult for what you will need at home to be assessed. A lot depends on how quickly you adapt to the crutches and manage stairs etc. get on and off the loo. The sort of thing you might need is raised toilet seat. Try not to overthink how hard things will be. You might be very surprised as to how quickly you adapt
Question Author
calmck, it's what i was told by OT at the hospital, they don't provide equipment, only crutches, which i am going to have to use for what seems like an age. How to adapt i just don't honestly know.
//Do You Have Frustrating Days//
only when they end in a y
Question Author
ael, sadly i understand that only too well....
