There was a programme out I think about 30 years ago called something like Mother Reilly a series about a nanny looking after children was funny in them days apprently, does anyone know what the right name is or if it can be bought on DVD.

Not the same, but in the 40's and 50's there was a whole series of films called Old Mother Riley about the (comic) adventures of a pantomime dame-like character (played by Arthur Lucan) and her daughter Kitty.

Brian Murphy played the part of Arther lucan in a tv film about his life and marrage to Kitty who was his wife and a nasty peice of work from all accounts.Brian Murphy from George and Mildred fame.Worth seeing if you get the chance
