Haven't watched but i did read a piece in the paper last week that they were just a bunch of disorganised thugs and bullies. They weren't fabulously rich or famous and they didn't hide razor blades in their flat caps. Apparently Peaky Blinder was a generic term for any thug from that area at that time and not the name of a particular gang.

I've only just started watching Peaky Blinders which was why this sparked my interest. I tried to watch the series once before but couldn't understand what they were saying so I gave up. Now I'm trying it again with the subtitles turned on. I've watched two episodes and I really like it.

I don't normally like gangster/mob/mafia type dramas and films but I instantly took to PB when it first aired. Tommy Shelby is one of the best drama characters I've ever watched.

I am liking it, tigger, but I can't for the life of me see why people say he's good looking. I think he's odd looking.

I never thought of Cillian Murphy as good looking until I watched PB. I fell in love with the character and then found myself loving his piercing blue eyes.

I watched it and found it really interesting. How Birmingham has changed in 100 or so years!

I watched it. I am often told (on here and other places) that times have changed. People used to have respect for the police and law and wouldn't dare cheek a copper for fear of getting a clip round the ear.
When was that, exactly? It wasn't in my lifetime nor durind the 'peaky blinders' era

Barry, When you say 'people' you must mean people who break the law. I've always had respect for the police. I think most people do.
