Was looking forward to actually seeing live race coverage on TV but didn't realise there were just two drivers involved. What happened to all the other cars - I know it was a battle between Lewis and Max but surely there should have been more commentary on the rest of the race?

OH said the same when he was watching the race as it happened. Kimmi Reikammen (if that's the right spelling, it probably isn't) was driving his last race and it was scarcely mentioned. I kept being informed that looking at the lower placements showed that real racing was going on between people - but hey-ho, that's TV.
The race is irrelevant.

Making up the rules as the go along is how it works now.

Such a shame as up to the last lap I was feeling confident that F1 was finally appealing to the masses again because of the battle between them - didn't care who won it was just an exciting race to watch but the controversy at the end will have lost any new fans it gained.
I blame control-freak Americans, Liberty Media for taking, errrrr, liberties.

Raikkonen went out quite early, so wasn't involved in a lot of the race, and was, rather nicely, voted "Driver of the day".
With the difference in performance of the 2 leaders and the rest of the field they are just an afterthought. Constructors positions below 2 or 3 are all about money for the teams not racing. God knows what Latifi was up to that late in the race trying for one more non point scoring place at the expense of ruining the real battle.
"God knows what Latifi was up to that late in the race trying for one more non point scoring place at the expense of ruining the real battle. " - yes did seem pointless but as the Great Ayrton Senna said, if you don't go for a gap when one is there you ain't a racing driver.
As an aside only 94 days till the first grand prix - with George and Lewis together I dont think Red bull will find it so easy.
They will if they have the race director altering the rules and procedures in their favour.
I heard a whisper that Masi's ancestors were transported after an unusual end to the sprint get the first olives to market in the old country.
