I think my invitation from a certain person has been irretrievably lost in the post. I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for it to appear but would like to ask if any of you have had a genuine lost in the post item?

I ordered some plants once and they never arrived and more recently a book (2 others ordered at the same time did arrive). I was assured by both companies that the goods in question had been sent.

Just wandering what else has been lost.

An invite to what LJ ?
Only one from Amazon Germany. Refund issued with no questions asked
Has the person said they're sending you an invitation - or were just just expecting to be invited?
An egg poacher, finally tracked by which time the company had sent it's replacement, a couple of things from China but to be honest I am not sure they ever existed!f
Wrong thread, Rowan?

Naomi - they said my invitation would be sent when it came back from the printers where it was being embossed that was why it was taking a little longer to arrive. You have to have trust people don't you?
Sorry Rowan .... my mistake. I'm thinking invitations. Derrr ....
Lost in the post.... Not wrong maybe not what was being invited

I have found that everything I have ordered from China eventually arrives but always takes ages to so do.
Well, I think if they said they were sending one, they would send one. If they didn't want to invite you they wouldn't mention it ... would they? I wouldn't.
My parcel which was a birthday gift never arrived at it's destination.
And I'm flipping fuming.
There must be a depot somewhere where all these lost parcels are accumulating!!!!
Perhaps the gold for the embossing is coming from China? ;-)
Hermes 'lost' a full Rare Breed Sheep Fleece I sold worth £125. No compensation nor explanation. How you can lose a 5 kilo large bag of fleece beats me.

The main stuff I've bought that's been lost in the post has come from Amazon, but they always refund, its just a nuisance having to reorder.

Did you insure the fleece in transit APG?
Question Author
Probably Mamy. I hadn't thought of that.

Sharon - wish I knew where it was.

Just so I don't get accused of ignoring people - Bobbi - I was once expecting a special event invite. Not exactly sure to what. I think it will be a bit of an orgy. Why? do you want to be there as well?
Absobliddylutley I do, I love a good party :0)))
Trouble with ordering stuff from China is that a half hour after it's arrived, you want to order another :-))
Lady-J yes I insured it but they would not pay up as they said it was 'restricted' goods and not covered. I will never use Hermes again, and think the item was stolen
