Can someone tell me how to make xmas invitation, please?

Using legal Office Home and Student package (recently changed from Office 2003) - cannot find my way around!

Want to import clipart borders etc, and text write the invitation within the border

Microsoft Publisher would be the best Office application for creating this sort of thing. Word can do it but it might not be as flexible as you'd like. However, why don't you have a look at the Office templates site:

Although they are for other holidays you can replace the images and text and change the colours to a Christmas theme instead.

but, the office templates seem only to be available by payment! I'm looking for free options.

I am not going to buy Publisher.

How do you create using Word 2007?
They are all free. I just downloaded one to test.
Open Word & 'Insert' clip art.....find borders/pics/script to insert. Use coloured card for printouts - saves on toner

When I searh for Christmas Borders ....

the pics do not show ..... just little motif in centre of box where pic of the border should be
