I never saw "The Missing" only Baptiste.

Two questions please.

1. Was he a bent copper?
2. Why does he have a limp?

Baptiste was attacked by a dodgy police officer who was leaking information about a case to the press.

He was in his car at the time of the incident and tried to escape but as he put his right leg on the floor, the officer took advantage of this.

The copper repeatedly slammed the car door against Baptiste's leg and left him in need of surgery so it didn't need to be amputated.

This is why the detective has been walking with a limp in both The Missing and Baptiste ever since.
You've fot a computer and the internet so you have a search facility. Google, Safari whichever you use.
In one of the earlier series, The Missing or Baptiste, wasn't he at death's door? How did he survive, it all seemed very final.

This is a Q&A site so perfectly fine to ask here. Not everyone wants to internet search everything! The site would not exist if we did!
