Probably around the 90s, maybe later, it was a US show, Black guy, either cop or PI, drives a (i think) red E-Type jag. Anyone remember it? All my searches just bring up thousands of E-Type references.

no dave I said: "drives a (i think) red E-Type jag" - the "I think" is about the colour there is no doubt about the car. In fact I'm pretty sure it's red.

sharon, wish I could be more specific, the black guy is large he drives the car around investigating things, I think he has some other pursuits too, possibly plays a musical instrument or writes, vague I know!

This is a longshot - there was a US show called Nero Wolfe in 2001/2002. Nero Wolfe was a millionaire white man who never left his luxury apartment but had various detectives and assistants who went out on streets and did all the leg work. I'm sure one of them was a black man and he would have driven any of Nero Wolfe's luxury cars. Just a thought.
