Are you typing on a £5 phone from Mercadona?

Just wondering xxx
Who's richi sunac?
JRM has said that (source, his Moggcast vlog, per the Times), "No sensible party or government ever breaks manifesto commitments willy nilly: it needs extraordinary circumstances..."

Said a letter in the Times today: "I can't think of any circumstances that might be more extraordinary."

I don't see that the Government have a choice. Taxes will have to increase at some point. Under the circumstances I don't see that tax increases alone would be so electorally devastating.
^^sounds like a middle eastern recipe :-)
^^^ to Bobbi
Had Labour been in power i would think they would have had to do the same thing.
Wouldn't matter which party was in after this year. Taxes will go up. Someones got to pay for it and as Labour wants even more money to be given out theirs would probably go up by even more or is Gulliver growing more money trees for them.
He’s already beside himself with rage about the breaking of the overseas aid pledge ;/)

Any more upsets and I fear he will be kicking the boy who sweeps his chimney

As is usual Gulliver reads everything in a manner to suit his agenda of knocking the Government.
