Why the heck do people agree to take part in this and then are surprised when their fiance comes up with some utterly stupid arrangements

Just watching an episode where the fiance has arranged a 'wedding dress' - leotard and tutu - pink at that - and trainers

And she has the audacity to be upset ?

I saw the one where he wanted a darts venue and got bobby George to officiate ,the bridesmaid had dartboard dresses ,it was awful
i vaguely remember one where the groom spent the majority of the budget on the stag do ...
I remember one where the groom forgot to invite anybody!!!
Sounds like a case of " What stupid idea can we think of to keep the viewing figures up"
Coz people wanna be on TV. I would imagine Teresa some money involved too. Plus you could always get married again and do it how you want
No one in television ever made a fortune by under-estimating the need for the public to be 'famous'.
I used to love this programme, but I am now convinced that the producers encourage the grooms to organise the most stupid, unromantic wedding possible and to hell with what the bride wants! Also, I have yet to see one where the bride has a brilliant hen do and the groom has a bad one! And nearly always at the end after everything has gone wrong for her, the bride will always opine 'he done amazing'!!
From the comments I read here it begs the question ,'Why the heck do people waste their time watching this puerile tripe?"
^ I said 'used' to love it. Found it amusing at one time, but it all became too predictable.

What you have to remember at all times when watching 'reality' shows of any style, is that it is not the people who are important, it's the outcome, and the outcome has to be good television.

Good television attracts viewers, and keeps them coming back.

A groom who is seriously aware of what his bride would like, and who follows that to its conclusion is not the sort of groom who is going to create scenarios that result in good television - understanding is boring - misunderstanding, the bigger the better, is what makes good television, and that is all that is ever going to make it to the screen.
Err I know andy, isn't that more or less what I said?
When you start a sentence with the word 'why' it rather implies that you are asking a question.

If you know the answer, why are you asking?
Ooops, my apologies, I thought yours was the OP - apologies to all.
