Never watched this as it didn’t appeal to me.
However, it’s being shown from the start, so I thought I’d give it a go to see what all the fuss is about.
Have now watched the first 4.
Is it worth carrying on with?
Does a proper story develop?
Does anything actually happen?
Ever?

Great stuff if you like sex, violence and an epic story ...
Question Author
Plenty of sex and violence so far, but I'm not seeing much of a story yet!
A story definitely appears.

Not that it means you'll like it, but Game of Thrones is one of the highest rated TV series ever ... scoring 9.3 on IMDB, for example.
What channel/service is showing it, please?
So many stories of the seven kingdoms does start to unravel themselves if you stick with it. Only four in... and not for you fair enough.
... I'd like to add those earlier episodes are relevant for what happens later in the main story arc.
I've wondered this too... where is it please? Although I have found it before, it needed extra payment, and I'm not even sure I would like it.
I tried Breaking Bad three times after lots of recommendations and even got as far as halfway through series 2, but found it really boring.
Question Author
Yes, It was it's popularity that made me give it a go. That kind of thing isn't usually my cup of tea.
I've done that quite often before though, not fancied something, watched a rerun because it was lauded, and it still didn't appeal.
Perhaps I'll see the rest of series 1 and then decide.
I watched something called "The Strain" having seen the trailers. It intrigued me, but the subject matter put me off (vampires). Turned out I absolutely loved it Have got the DVD's and have now seen watched it 3 times.
So sometimes it is worth trying a programme you don't really fancy.

Sky Atlantic, Lie-in King.
Sunday nights at 9 and 10.
4 episodes shown so far.
It can be worth it, bigbad. I deliberately ignored all the massive hype about House... watched it by mistake years later and loved it.
I had Breaking Bad On my Computer (Bro... USB) for over a year and finally gave it a chance Still Love it couldn't believe what I was missing. Same with GOT... I do like sci-fi but drug dealers and fantasy medievel stuff erm... not really. I can't deny Bro was correct on both.

It's horses for courses when it comes to taste of things we like or don't but was really taken aback by both series.

Life On Mars, The Sopranos, The Office, Peaky Blinders and Sherlock.
All hugely popular, so I tried watching reruns, and all left me bored.
Each to their own!
Ta Bigbad - not a channel I've access to at the moment, alas.
Yes arky, I love sci-fi, hate fantasy. Strangely, they are often grouped together, although they are opposites really.
Life On Mars, The Sopranos, The Office, Peaky Blinders and Sherlock.

I couldn't agree more... same here.
Indeed Pixie, yes they are far too often. Xx
I would say carry on watching, Bigbad. It starts to gather pace later on when you get used to the characters and their background story.

I used to stay up till 3-4am to watch the last series when it was aired on Sky Atlantic last year. I didn't want to risk seeing any spoilers on social media.
Lol Tigger I'm like that now, with the final series 15 of 'Supernatural' I think i'm upto the latest episode of 11... but Skip past folk on social media to avoid spoilers.
I'm a bit of a Twitter junkie, Arky, so spoilers are never far away! lol

I've never seen Supernatural.

A couple of years ago I binged-watched 4 seasons of Walking Dead whilst on annual leave. It wasn't scary but I dream't of zombies for days after that! :o/
I have a twitter account but never bother with it, too much sniping and snide remarks (Sound familiar ;-)

However if zombies you fear than Maybe Supernatural isn't for you...
The great thing about it is it doesn't take itself seriously... but I highly recomend it... My bro's GF has started from S1 of E1... its not a slog a journey.
