I love watching Serenity starring Nathan Fillion
'The Crown', is one. Didn't think it would be my cup of tea but i actually liked it so much, i binge watched my way through the first two series. Claire Foy is absolutely brilliant (almost mesmerising) as a young Elizabeth and i feel a tad sorry for Olivia Coleman who takes over the role in series 3. Also look out for a brilliant portrayal of a young Princess Margaret. Oh yeah, and don't expect it to be absolutely factually correct - allow them some poetic licence.
A good film to watch is 'Bad Day For The Cut'. Though there may be a bit too much violence in it for you. Watch the trailer and decide for yourself, Jordy.
Just been recommended Mindhunters .
Got lots on "My List" still to watch, but added "Wu Assassins" yesterday - looks like mysticism & martial arts - what's not to like? :-)

They've recently (or have I only just noticed?) added Star Trek: DS9, Enterprise, Next Gen & Voyager, so I might re-watch them at some point (am a ridiculously addicted Trekker).

I need to watch "Dark Tower" as I love Stephen King, but am not convinced it's going to do the excellent (1st of 7) book any justice - we'll see, though I think it'll be an enjoyable romp.

I'll binge on anything "Marvel" (Daredevil; Luke Cage; Iron Fist; Jessica Jones etc) - but if you don't like comic book heroes, they won't be for you.

So many more titles, so little time... :-)
There is a lot of choice, it's sometimes hard to know where to start and I am not great and concentrating on films unless they really interest me.
Although I have seen it before, and I'm sure everyone has... i did watch Apollo 13 on Netflix last night and it was much better than I remembered.
As I like crime thrillers, just finished watching Bloodline.
LIK; Stay well, well clear of The Dark Tower. I have waited over 30 years for someone to make a film (or films)of this excellent series of books. In fact, my first choice to play Roland was Charles Bronson, so you can see just how far back i've wanted a film made So i almost wept with frustration and disappointment when i watched this terrible, terrible offering from someone who purports to be a fan of the books. If he is a fan of the books, then i'm a Blackburn fan!! There is no Detta Walker/Susannah Dean, no Eddie Dean of New York, no Lobstrosities. Just as disappointingly, No Oy the Billybumbler of Midworld!! Idris Elba is a fine actor but he is NOT Roland Deschain. I honestly believe co-star Matthew McConaughey would have made a better fist of it (lean and mean). I have yet to meet a single fan of the series of books who has also enjoyed the film. It really is dire.
Forgot to add that the film covers the entire series of books, not just book 1. Just another nail in it's coffin, imho.
Ken - oh dear. Now I'm not looking forward to it at all, but I *do* still have to watch it. How can they cram the series into one title? Ridiculous. :-((

I will let you know my thoughts when I've watched it...
I too was pre-warned and i also 'had' to watch it. Just wish i hadn't. I have spoken to some who enjoyed it but none had read the books. Will wait for your verdict.
I like the Films based on Fact section and thoroughly recommend Breach. It's about the u.nmasking of a spy
. Thrilling but not violent.
Lucifer, not sure if its netflix or amazon. Good Omens, deffo amazon
I like psychological thrillers, but could do with some recommendations too.
Another very good true story - The Glass Castle - with Woody Harrelson. Was on Netflix but may have been taken off by now.

Just checked the glass castle is still on Netflix
'Mad Men' - terrific! we felt bereft when we finally got to the last episode.

'The Kominsky Method' is also good,
Mad Men is a good choice. That is brilliantly written with a stellar cast. Designated Survivor is another one I would highly recommend, with Kiefer Sutherland.
