Is what this woman is proposing discrimination?
If a male MP said he wanted to form an all male cabinet then Lucas would be up in arms over it, I thought that this way of thinking was long dead and buried, what is she thinking by saying this?
What makes her believe women politicians are better than male politicians?
They are no better or worse.
It is who is better for the job but that’s not pc nowadays.
And just to add, wanting Brexit isn’t confined to men. There are plenty of women who want to leave the EU as well. Does she not want to represent them?
Just heard her being interviewed on BBC Five Live, she was tied up in knots by Emma Barnet and made to sound even sillier with her outdated, sexist views!
// I thought that this way of thinking was long dead and buried //
It should be, but it clearly isn't. It's straightforward sexism, and while there are clearly men who think this way too, it's no longer acceptable for them to say so.
I see this morning that she's acknowledged that she didn't think her list of members through carefully enough and that it wasn't as inclusive as it should have been......the reason? It didn't include any 'women of colour'. You couldn't make it up.
Aside from anything else, her notion that an all female group is going to be a co-operative and harmonious love-in of sisterly unity, is obviously ridiculous.
Did she include any trans amputees?
Total inclusiveness needs a him/her/it with one or more limbs missing, a wheelchair, and a voice box. Anything less and she is not PC.
The irony is, this ludicrous woman honestly believes she is advancing the course of women in the world, whereas in fact she is making a really good case for making women stay at home, barefoot, pregnant, and making the dinner for when her hardworking husband gets home.
She should be ashamed of herself, her stupidity and crass posturing is matched only by her monumental ignorance of the way the world of politics actually works, outside her alien imagination.
