I am anxious to improve my consumption of green carp (sp?) - so I had an extra large portion of mushy peas with my fish&chips.

Can anyone tell me how many of my "5 a Week" this counts as?

how many peas roughly were there?
Spath never counted peas
i usually have one or two a day, sometimes three. Is that normal? Am i drinking enough?
About 80gms counts as 1 portion of your 5 a day
3 tablespoons will be one portion.
This will make it easy for you to measure your 5 a day.

Don't forget to count the chips dave, potato is a veg
A dollop of ketchup will up your intake Dave.
I've had a Google and seen suggestions that one bowl counts as one portion and also that they have too many additives to count at all... but the 5 a day is made up, so I wouldn't worry too much x

I got round all this faffing about by buying new plates, not smaller ones - ones decorated with vegetables.

Every meal looks healthy now.
ah paper plates it is for me, if i've ran out then newspaper will suffice. Can't be doing any washing up on a week day.

Thanks everyone - by my calculation I can fulfil my '5 a day' by eating approximately 20 tins of Mushy Peas per week.

This should ensure my continued bowel health, but the resultant eructations may have catastrophic consequences for the Ozone Layer ...
Dave, for gawds sake don't eat the sprouts ;-)
Wine is really just grapes, so it counts towards your 5 a year.
