Just got Sky Q, anyone know how to display recordings as a list? All I can get is the annoying mosaic. I have googled but no joy, thanks.

Looks as if it is a bit of an issue in general TTT. Have you tried unplugging and waiting a few minutes then rebooting?

This may be worth a read through as well TTT.
//How to get straight to your Sky Q recordings

Press the Sky logo button at the top of the remote to take you straight to your recordings.//

Thanks, but it's not a fault togo, that's just how it is, I preferred the list arrangement on my old sky box. I just wondered if there was any options anywhere. They do stack it's just that instead of a nice list I get a small picture and a title for each item. I'll get used to it but I preferred the old list.
Gottcha TTT. I note on the forums that one or two are not too enamoured with the layout. We have been debating whether to upgrade to it but I sort of counselled "She who must be obeyed" to hang on. She makes most use of it and it took me months to get her trained up for + . :))
Just a quick question for you 3T. Did you keep your old recorded programmes? I believe that you lose them if you do not pay a premium to transfer them.
Question Author
no you can't keep the old progs but I took pictures of the list and the schedule and got most of them back and then set up my series links etc. Overall I like it but just a few things like the recordings layout annoy me. I think they've tried to emulate firestick and netflix with the way it works and looks. I also like being able to record 7 shows at once, most of the things we watch are on at 8/9/10pm so that was a ball ache having to find versions shown in the middle of the night etc so that's better. The remote is physically arkward, though it does have voice control but I've never been able to get that to work on any device ever!

You will have to teach em rhyming 3T. :))
The menu and the controller is a dogs dinner, isn’t it Tora. Time they got it sorted. Have you learnt how to fast forward with the jog wheel rather than press the buttons?
Question Author
yes, the jog wheel is how to start at a specific minute instead of the oh so sensible predecessor of simply typing in the start minute! getting used to that. This is a classic case of fixing it when it ain't broke and making it more annoying. Don't they do any pre launch customer approval trials?
Obvs not. I’m hoping for a BIG software update SOON.

I also don’t like how you can’t really tell where you are. Just a subtle glow around the ‘tile’ you’re on. Give me the crude but effective yellow highlighting of Sky+ over this poncy method anytime.
