Good Morning Early Birds!

Sunday. It's been raining, now it's mizzling. not at all nice. So it will be out to do the essential, get the paper, see my favourite checkout girl and get some skydive money from her. Then it looks like domesticity. Such fun I have!

Tiggy 2 is out and about, just seen him, (I think it's a him from the size,) He'll get use to me.

Up here? In a word, soggy. It's been raining almost non stop for three days.

Haven't had rain worth mentioning since March.

Lots of items in the "pop up gift shop".
Haven't made much sawdust recently.
Long awaited inferior decorating has taken over, replaced architraves, skirting boards, window coverings. Fitted picture rails, painting, painting painting. High and rather ornate ceilings, time consuming plus it's great spending all day up a ladder with the head tilted back 90 degrees.

Don't have the sense of balance I once had.

I remember doing all that. Fitting picture rails can be a pain on it's own. Get all the way round and find it's a quarter of an inch out! Not me, by the way, a neighbour. The poor bloke was willing, but his skills were non existent. So I ended up taking it all down and starting again. He was my labourer and his wife kept the refreshments coming. Ended up doing the whole four bedroom house.

Never use a spirit level, houses aren't level or square.

Tape measure and eyeball.
