Don't know the film, but on another point, it was not Blondie's song, only their version. The Tide is High was originally by the Paragons.

I'm sure it's been in several films, but the most recent one I can think of is Muriel's Wedding - the evil girls sang it at the talent contest in Porpoise Spit... (and how sad am I for knowing that?!)
