What does that mean?
Had to close my eyes at that bit and get my husband to watch for me!
Old wives cure for ganglion cyst...whack it with a big book...
Georgiesmum - that's how people used to treat ganglions, whack them hard with the family Bible (often the only book in the house back in the day)
A big book and a copper i meant
.
My daughter said it had to be with a Bible... :-)
Maybe that's why it went wrong!
The daft polis chap hit someone's lump... but was not a ganglion and he nearly lost his hand
Thanks, yes, ive heard of that before but I didnt watch it tonight so I didnt know what they were commenting on. Thanks for your answers.
Awww. I missed it.... I love Doc Martin. Catch up tomorrow.
I was 13 when my doctor got rid of my ganglion by hitting it with Gray's anatomy.!
Didn't Gray mind ? ;0)
ha-ha^^
When my finger got caught in the huge door of the church my finger nail went black and my finger swelled. I was only 11. The doctor straightened a paper clip, heated it with his cigarette lighter and bodged it through the middle of my nail. A fountain of blood but it did the trick.
OMG, sounds painful!
Looked horrible when the nail fell off. The skin underneath is quite blurgh. All good now, though :)
Not got a big book or a copper but I used to have a ganglion. Doctor said it was a Morton's neuroma. He stuck a needle in and sucked out all the gunge. It was no where near as big as Penhale's sculptor's!
A morton's neuroma is on your foot
RHPC (red hot paper clip) My nan had the same thing done.
