Do they ?
That's good to hear.
I wasn't going to watch it but found it very interesting.
I found it an interesting watch too.

Just like any fly on the wall programme there were people I took to and a couple I didn't.
i thought it was a pity they had chosen the one extremist bloke (ex boxer) If he had been of any faith or none, he would have been.....well lets say at one end of the normal spectrum. The program sort of got taken over with how the rest of them dealt with the one bloke....but it did show that not all muslims are radical.
Can you imagine how scary it must be for non radical Muslims when terrible things happen in their name and people tar them with the same brush?

They were mostly quite westernised but for Abdul Haq (convert from christianity) who is so radicalised that even the others were shocked & resisted him.

Haq's head as really been screwed up!
I don't agree that it was an 'eye opener' , too small a sample for that albeit an interesting group.
It was interesting. I missed the beginning but knew straight away that Haq was a convert.
Patsy, where my late Mum lived, in Battersea right on the edge of Chelsea, nice area,) the Spar shop over the road was managed by a lovely bloke who was Arab Muslim. His wife was a GP and I guess you’d call them upper middle class. Kids (who I never met but Mum used to send them sweets and small gifts) went to private school, not a “faith" school. He was really kind to my Mum, used to carry her shopping over or get one of the staff to, so she could buy heavy stuff like spuds, took her to a local nursery in his car to buy sacks of compost - this is around 15 years ago now before Amazon delivered everything. They stayed in the UK for about three years then went back because his wife was abused in the streets and called “terrorist” She did wear a headscarf and loose clothing but didn’t veil, as I said worked as a GP in the NHS. Very sad.
Very sad that Woofgang. This type of thing worries me. The media are always stirring up the masses, imo.
yup...you see it on here too.
I didn't see last night's episode,but am watching now.
I'm pleased that in some ways there are no great surprises...hence the title. Will it be watched by those who think otherwise?
watching part two.....golly!
No interest whatsoever, didn't watch it.
It was unrepresentative and hence, misleading.
It may well have been unrepresentative and therefore misleading, and it did seem a bit too set up because of the range of characters. However, as a non-Muslim I found it more representative than I have witnessed before, and certainly more representative than threads on the subject on AB.
Question Author
Haq said the shia woman was kuffir & should be killed. He also said muslims only live to die for Mohammed. So, they dont live for their children.....thats inhuman to me. Haq was converted muslim in Belmarsh prison. He is mental & dangerous.
Garaman, //as a non-Muslim I found it more representative than I have witnessed before, and certainly more representative than threads on the subject on AB. //

What do you use as a yardstick?

tambourine, there are plenty more like him.
naomi// It was unrepresentative and hence, misleading.

I can't help wondering what you use a yardstick?
