no, well didn't to me.
id say slightly yes.
if only! I breastfed both my children and would have loved to lose some of the inches, unfortunately that was not the case for me. My sister however shrivelled to a couple of 'fried eggs,' after feeding one child, so I think it varies from person to person.
Mine changed for the better! A bit rounder & fuller.

what about if you only breast feed for the first couple for days?
Im  with jules001. mine never shrunk, mores the pity ,and I breast fed my first one for nine months
dunno about only a couple of days, reckon each person is different, only time will tell
Mine went a bit 'unfull' for a few months and then went back to their original appearance. However, my sister, who is the same size has found that hers have lost their fullness and have drooped rather a lot!!
I guess it all balls down to genetics. The reason i say this is because my dad's side of the family are fairly large and all my aunts/cousins who breast fed ended up with even bigger breasts where as my mum's side of the family are very small and they ended up(including me) smaller than we were before we had children. I wouldn't really worry about boob size if your thinking of breast feeding because it is the healthiest food for baby.
I don't think it makes much difference. I lost my chest and I didn't breast feed. I did't have much to start with. Now I have reached the menopause and put on a bit of weight, my chest has come back.
I fed two offspring for at least 18 months went down a cup size but the reall great thing is your tummy goes flat really quickley too ! All the best Shazza X
Hi,  the main point here is do you want to do whats best for your baby or best for your "figure",  because breast feeding is the only way to go to give your baby the most healthy start in life,  google this subject and you find 100s of reasons to breast feed as long as possible.
I breast fed both mine for six months and I am just the same .. and also as you feed you feel your tummy going back down as has already been said.  Plus the fact that the nappies are much less yukky and its much cheaper!
Both my babies were prem (6 weeks and 4 weeks early) and even though I fed them myself it was only for a short time (6 weeks and 1 week) as they weren't feeding properly and my milk dried up. However, both times my boobs grew bigger.

Thanks for all your advise it was a great help!!

I would like to say to qupmoc, I am going to try breast feeding, and made that decision already, But I wanted to know if this was true about losing your chest size, Of course my baby is more inportant than my figure!! and i am aware that it is best for My Baby. but thanks for your advise anyway.

Bottom - think positive! Not "I'm going to try breast feeding" (which is very good) but "I'm going to breast feed" (which is even better!)

For various reasons, I thought I'd really hate it, but as it is so much better for the baby in so many ways, I was determined to do it for at least a week. Yes, it is a bit sore at first, but after that week, I would not have stopped for a million pounds.

Apart from all the health benefits to you & the baby, the best thing is it is so much easier for mum - where's lunch - under my jumper! Your body has prepared to provide milk and it is the best way to get off the pregnancy weight.

Best of luck with your new family.

Good luck with the feeding! When i first started I thought it was the hardest thing I'd ever done - learning how to get it right can take time and patience and if your baby doesn't have the latter, it's very stressful. On several occassions my husband had a screaming baby in one arm and a sobbing wife in the other!

If it doesn't work out for you, please, please please don't beat yourself up over it.The first time I realised i was going to have to give my little treasure a bottle, I was devastated. I felt so guilty and that i was the worst mummy ever for denying my baby breast milk. After all, it's drummed into us the breast is best and there's a lot of pressure out there to do it for 6 months. But at the end of the day, do what's right for you as well as what's right for baby. Don't forget there are lots of support groups out there, or you may find the "Your Kids" messageboard on the BBC's parenting website very helpful. The gals on there are a bit of an inspiration!

Sorry to rant on, but I thought you might find it useful! I wish someone had said all this to me before giving birth!

And in answer to your original question, like stocks and shares, the size of your boobs can go up or down! My hubby loves mine now. Says they're softer. Well, they would be given they're no longer full of milk and the consistency of bowling balls!

I breastfed my youngest for 11 month and 3 weeks and it did me wonders!!!!!!!!!

It is the best feeling ever!! I recommend it!!!!!!

my mum says she never lost her chest size but you do get a bit saggy! lol

Oh by the way when you breast feed you can loose mega amounts of weight!
