I'm going to bed after working a night shift at a vets. While I was there he performed a caesarean on a pug. He charged the owner £534-00 for the privilege... OMG!! I'm glad I don't own a dog!

Hello Melv, not sure I'd spend that sort of money on a pooch.
Good chance they are breeders and will still turn a profit.
Are you an animal medic?
Question Author
No, wolf. I'm a decorator. The only time I can work at the practice is at night or on Sundays.
That makes sense.

Some time back I was at the vet, a bloke in the waiting room was waiting whilst his Bulldog was having a caesarean. He told that the pups would sell for £1,200+ each. I got my cats free to good home.

I am off back to bed. Night boys !
Sleep well Wolf, until your grumpy moggy wakes you ;-/
Morning all. I wouldn't pay that much for a puppy, I can get a dog for nothing from a rescue centre.

Overcast here again. summer was nice while it lasted! It would be nice to have another summer like '76.
Hey Boaty, after weeks of rain and wind it's a nice wintry sort of day here.
Slight breeze, blue sky, rather warm, have I annoyed you enough yet? ;-)

All the pooches we have lived with are ex-death row.
Best sort of dogs.
Hi mate. You can't annoy me with the weather...you can make me jealous though! :o}

I agree mate. Dogs that have been through the mill and know all about the hard life do indeed make the best friends. They are eager to please because of the, sometimes, unpleasant start they have had in life.

Are you still enjoying a leisurely life?
All of our rescue pooches, after a settling in period, have become the most loyal, loving and protective mates anyone could ask for.

Yep, a most enjoyable life. Spent a couple of days gardening and cleaning up the workshop. I'll have a couple of jobs arriving soon, some garden furniture that needs restoring. Old mate will probably pay me with beer, farm eggs, pumpkins and pork chops. I'll be happy!!!
I agree entirely about the dogs mate. Some people should not be allowed to own a dog. I wonder how they would like to be treated the way some of them treat their dogs.

That sounds like a grand way to pass the time mate. I like restoring things to their former glory too, or, indeed to transform them for a different use. My bird table is an old wooden toilet seat with it's lid. Tiggy Towers was once a wooden bread bin. :o}
