What do you think am I being over picky? Yesterday there was a question, in which Stephen King novel was Ben Richards the main protagonist? The answer was The Running Man. Now to me that was written by Richard Bachman, aka Stephen King. The contestants were mulling over King books if they knew The Running Man as a Bachman book not knowing of the King connection they would not get the answer. I just felt it was a unfair question, what do you think? Mrs MM said leave it leave it.

Sleep! no chance Svejk I have been a nervous wreck ever since, an injustice has been done, Bradley must go.

It's easy if you know it!
I tend to agree. Some authors use different names if they are writing in a different genre. Can anyone readily identify Barbara Vine, Phillipa Carr/Victoria Holt or Mary Westmacott?
I can yes, I once told a friend I adored to read Ruth Rendell, she replied 'Don't like her but do like Barbara Vine'.
Bv Ruth Rendell
M Westmacott Agatha christie

Phillipa Carr/Victoria Holt - Eleanor Hibbert aka Jean Plaidy
Bradley must go!!! I thought he just presented it. Didn't know he wrote the questions too :-)

Fair enough ImLostAgain and a good job he does to, but is it a fair question I have 50p riding on this. Yes or no first up to five wins
Unfair
Well the crux of the question was name a novel with a lead character called Ben Richards. Either you knew that or you didn't. If you were just guessing Stephen King novels then your answer would be just that, a guess.
Question Author
True Prudie but it is leading you down a false path as the book was shown to be written by Richard Bachman.

So is The Chase only permitted to ask questions the contestant knows the answer to?
Question Author
No I'm not saying that Baldric, I just felt it was wrong to say it was a King novel when it was published as a Bachman novel, if I remember even the chaser gave a King novel as a answer.
As I am renowned for fence sitting I shall say it was a poorly worded question.
