Lots. Omar Sharif played bridge in our house in Paris in the late 1970's and was such a gorgeous man and gentleman. One of the nicest people I've met was Alice Cooper -I'm a huge fan and always have been but thankfully in real life he is nothing like his on stage persona!
Oh yes Terry Hall with "Lenny the Lion", charming, they both lived up to my expectations.
Laurence Llewellyn Bowen. Just as you would expect. He floated past, limp wristed, pretentious, smug,,didnt look at us peasants as we tried to take a photo at the Ideal Home Exhibition. Luckily he has gone very quiet lately.
I met Jon Paul Sigmarson, lovely bloke.
Many, many............
But the most momentous was Idi Amin. A HUGE man, the consulting room darkened as his massive torso cut out all the light. A polite an gentle man who apologised for being late for his appointment, but i didn't push the issue as he had two immense body guards with large curved swords which could have done sqad a deal of harm.

Had to Google that one TTT, do you mean Jón Páll Sigmarsson?
>Oh yes Terry Hall with "Lenny the Lion", charming, they both lived up to my expectations.

Was that during his days with The Specials or Fun Boy Three?
Once bought a pint for William Hartnell (first Dr Who) in a Sussex pub and was flattened by Jack Palance as he came out of a cafe rather quickly in Stratford upon Avon. He apologised, helped me up and made sure I was OK. A real gentleman.
Have met Paul Martin (from Flog it) his head was so far up his own behind he would need a shoe horn to get it back down, horrible man off camera.

Met Jeremy Beadle many years ago at a charity function, came across as a really nice bloke.

Shook hands and had a short chat with Prince Charles. He seemed friendly enough and spoke to my kids.
Lots in my ten years working at the BBC. One of the most memorable was Captain Ed Mitchell, Commander of Apollo 14. However, he wanted me to go back to his hotel room and when I declined he refused to continue with the radio broadcast!
Two people I met in my early teens made my skin crawl even then -Jimmy Savile and Hughie Green . Thankfully I was never alone with them.
I served Harry Secombe in Hurley's, a book shop in Balham His brother was the vicar their. Not disappointed at all he was just like he is on the TV. A lovely man
The most salient one at the moment is President Xi Jinping - he was Gen Party Sec of the Communist Party in Zhejiang Province (Hangzhou and Ningbo are the two major cities. His b-card is in my storage unit....met him some four or five times, a very thoughtful and calm man, taking lots of views in before he comes to a decision....decisions that then stick. I'm not surprised that he has risen up the system, though to President, that is a surprise.....

\\\\However, he wanted me to go back to his hotel room and when I declined he refused to continue with the radio broadcast!\\\

Worth a try.
But like that old joke with a lecherous gentleman on a plane, Sqad. (thanks for sending it, tony....)

A businessman in the first class cabin decided to chat up the drop dead, gorgeous flight attendant: What is your name?

Flight Attendant: "Angela Benz, sir"

Businessman: "Lovely name ... any relation to Mercedes Benz?"

Flight Attendant: "Yes sir, very close,"

Businessman: "How close?"

Flight Attendant: "Same price......"
My late husband and I were invited to a Reception at 10, Downing Street by Maggie and Denis, in 1984. They poured a mean g & t.
Oh forgot to mention Ian Paisley (old one) shared a lift in Parliament Buildings - me a taig and he a prod - I was shi99ng myself - a very very big man - I would given him 6feet 5inches in height.

Big in height and big in the mouth.
DTC...LOL
Mushariff pre Pakistan PM, lunched with him coz his stepson fancied my daughter. Racist FIL was horrified.
I met John Cleese. Awful, rude, aggressive man. If I see him coming I'll duck up a dark alley way
