My DVD player has just died. Typical at Christmas time when I needed it most. There doesn't seem to be any power getting to the unit. I have changed the fuse but to no avail. Do I just accept that it is knackered and purchase a new one? Many thanks.

There may be an internal fuse - I quite often had to change a fuse in my Sky decoder (pre digital sky).

If so, it won't be a plug fuse - so you would need to get replacement from tv repair shop or maybe Halfords.

Thank you Tuvok. I will try Halfords and take it from there.
You'd need to open the box and check there is a fuse, that it's blown, and what physical size and amperage it is, first.

Thank you Old Geezer. I appreciate your contribution and I will do as you say. This is the first time I have tried anything like this so it should prove very interesting.
