Andy is certainly never mentioned but in soaps generally, people are rarely mentioned once they've left, I would have expected Gail to have had pictures of her granddaughter on show for example.

I have seen a photo of Sarah and Bethany on Gail's sideboard and on Steve's 40th I'm sure Liz said she'd been speaking to Andy on the telephone.

I think Faye's dad, Tim, was supposed to fill that role but he's become quite industrious with Sal behind him.
