Friday. No sign of any sunshine this morning. I have to be at the Heritage Centre at 8.30, going to Stroud first, so will have to be away at 7.30.

Morning Boaty an early start, even for you my friend

Yet another night shift. Nice morning in Aberdeen though the day might not be as nice as the last couple of days, some patchy rain about with patchy fog in eastern parts. Temperatures out of the fog 14 or 15

Fidget pants woke me up. Then I heard my son come downstairs so got up to see what he was up to. He was lying on the sofa doing nothing!! Sent him back to bed but by then I was wide awake.

An early start indeed. An early meeting then a very special trip for the boat. I have to go over to Stroud to pick one of the team up as her car is a bit sick and is in hospital.

It's in Oxfordshire beej. Not too far from me. About an hour by road I would guess.

ok wbm-hes ex Raf has a home here and -------in his words-'was getting into the drink too much' (ie becoming a true Norn Irish man)------got a parttime job back home in Oxon, he stays there a few weeks then back here for a few-likes the peeps here and the fishing

According to the news it's been the coldest spring since 1962. So it was cold in 1962, has the weather really changed that much?

Northern Ireland is lovely. My Nan is Belfast and Granddad is Donegal (which I know is south but they talk with a non iron accent)

Not a lot ummmm. I well remember the spring of '62. I was a young soldier, despite the lousy weather and low temperatures, we still had to be in shirt sleeve order. :o{
I'm not beej, Ayrshireman who followed the job, I work in Aberdeen live just outside Stonehaven...when I'm not in the Falkalnds that is..
ok--been in Ayrshire a fair few times -mainly Ayr toon and also Maybole
