When I was 8 my grandmother died and my family had the opportunity of acquiring her upright piano. (Neither of my parents played). So I was offered the chance to go for piano lessons at the teacher's house just around the corner from where we lived. However I was a shy kid and the idea of visiting a stranger's house terrified me, so I said that I didn't want to go for lessons. A few years later (when I was far more confident) I asked if I could start the lessons but, alas, no piano was available for me to learn on (and my parents certainly couldn't afford to buy one), so I never learnt to play. That's something which I've always regretted.

I would also liked to have been a successful radio presenter/DJ, perhaps in the mould of The Togmeister or The Dark Lord. (Radio 2 fans take note!). On the few occasions that I've actually presented radio programmes I've always enjoyed it.

i can also play the piano, violin and accordion (taught by my hungarian grandad who was completely mad but lovely) x

I was blessed growing up I played the Clarinet, Cello, did dance for 5 years and rode horses till I was 16.

I would have given it all up for my mothers love.

I'd love to have the guts to sing publicly as well....

I was very fortunate growing up and like FGT I did lots of activities, played lots of instruments. I would have loved to have been good at art. I am artistic with food and cakes but not with pen and paper!

Grandson has tried in vain, to make my dream of being able to play guitar but, arthritic fingers and hands don't do what is required and when getting near to conforming, unable to stop his giggles!
