you know it's coming don't ya? LOL
and to think people say criminals are lazy layabouts. Well, German ones aren't, anyway.
the great escape, boom boom..
I don't mind this type of crime. It was all stuff locked away for "safe keeping"

Nobody hurt, good luck to the robbers. They were probably ill-gotten gains anyway.
unless they were family heirlooms, locked away for safe keeping, not all criminals keep their goodies in safe deposit boxes.
I like the pretty pattern they've made in the wall.

lovely innit Tiggs?

The tunnel's a work of art too!
one should be doubly impressed or more for those that dug tunnels in the prisoner of war camps, considering what tools they had to hand, and their fate if caught, which was to be shot
Four leaf cloveresque.
and all dug with teaspoons, too, just like in the Count of Monte Cristo
sure they didn't, however it had to be so covert, the big fear was of being caught, then shot. some did get away, but many who tried and failed were executed.
I meant the bank tunnel. em. Like the windows on a Gothic cathedral. All it needs is the stained glass.
does look pretty must admit.
They talk about silenced pneumatic drill . That's nonsense they can be muffled to a certain extent but it's not just the drills that make the noise it's
the concrete breaking up which creates the most sound . Looking at the fine smooth holes, that was done using using fine diamond tipped drills and there must have been plenty of noise albeit muffled by the fact it was undergound. What is more in the vault there should have been proximity sensors but apparently nothing was detected. I would say they must have had some insider information.
perhaps they covered up the noise by yodelling and playing German band music while slapping their lederhosen?
That'll teach the Germans to think everyone should have an engineering degree ;-)
