Prom/trip update

Well the prom was a success. It is always nice to see them in all their finery, but then they change their clothes to out partying in Manhattan and look like streetwalkers!!! Most have never gone to a formal event before and were very impressed with the catering hall and the food.
The 2 nights away went well. There was some bed hopping and those kids will not be able to participate in the graduation ceremonies. A steep price, but they broke the rules big time.
One of my students got sick and went to the hospital, she had a gallbladder attack. 2 chaperones had to stay and rent a car as the bus had to leave and take the others back. We were about 5 hours from home. Thankfully she is doing well and the others arrived home 3 hours after the rest of us.
The resort was nice and clean and again the kids were impressed. Some of them are so sheltered and many had never stayed in a hotel before. Most have never even been out of their neighborhoods either.
Overall we had a good time and the kids were well behaved.
I will try to post some pics eventually.
