Does anyone remember How We Used To LIve? It was on Channel 4 schools about 16/17 years ago? I'm only asking because my nephew used to play Roger in the series that covered the George Blake spy scandal. It was a big part for him and we thought he might go on to bigger things but he quickly lost interest. He's married now. Got three kids himself. Missed opportunities eh?

Yorkshire Television's historical drama-documentary series How We Used To Live began on Tuesday September 24th, 1968 on ITV Schools and is still going on Channel 4.

I certainly remember watching it in the 70s when it concentrated on a Late Victorian/Edwardian family.

I remember watching it too, whilst I was at school.  I must have watched in the late 70's.  It's funny I was only thinking about it the other day.

I watched the 30s-50s period at school and I loved it!

You can get educational CD-ROMs covering each of the periods although I don't think you can get the actual series on DVD.

Do a search on Google.

I have just been on Amazon to try and buy the series of 'How we used to live'. I absolutely loved the whole series and used to look forward to the times at school when  we all learnt about the second world war. I'm 34 now but would like my children to see it. I didn't see the Late Victorian/Edwardian family but wish I had!!

I would also like to get a copy of How we used to live - the one that was shown in the seventies. My class at school played the school children in one of the episodes. We all looked poor and very dirty!
