Godfather Part II. De Niro at his best !
or It's a Wonderful Life, all time favourite film
gness, also impatient to see Les Mis. Only problem being if I sob through most of it, as I did with the stage production. Bring him Home reduces me to a sodden mess.
"I've got something in mai ai and I want to bathe it. "

I think Barmaid will make a smashing Dr Alec Harvey!
Hot Fuzz
daisy me too, i was lucky enough to see the original production when it opened at the Barbican, with a truly mesmeric Colm Wilkinson as Valjean, apparently he plays a part in the new film.
here it is, such a class act.

i think i fancy one of the indiana's, not the (crystal skull)
So many to choose from! Any Disney DVD will do for me, or if I have to be a grown-up then it would be a choice of Steel Magnolias, Dirty Dancing, Planes, Trains and Automobiles and The Hangover.
daisy, hope you had your hanky ready, i have never seen a show like it,
and he was, at least to me, the very first and best Jean Valjean.
em, thanks. Yes it worked. Lost the tissue box.

The Sound Of Music ! It's that time of the year !
That was the production I saw with a friend and my daughter. We left speechless. Tube to Victoria, not a word until we were on the train home. Never been moved by a performance more.
He was so wonderful in that show, Michael Ball played Marius, it had been open a few days at the Barbican and it was mostly word of mouth that made it a big hit, because the critics almost killed it. That show and the extraordinary music is in my memory for good
Colm Wilkinson for me too Em and Daisy. I saw him on stage and it was a wonderful and memorable performance.. Les Mis makes me cry and it's the closest I have come to shouting out in a theatre when the barricade scene almost became too much.
the link i put i thought might be from the anniversary concert, which they did at 10 years and then later at 25 years. He was in the very first show, a man with a golden voice.
the audience went mad at the end, i have seen lots of shows in my life, some very big names, stars, but never ever anything like this.
